STUDY 14: GENEROSITY
The Bible says, “God loves a
cheerful giver.” We should give for no other reason than that. The following
Scriptures will give you many more reasons for giving generously and
becoming a good steward.
1. Circle keywords or phrases
in the following Scriptures.
"But who am I, and who are my
people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes
from you, and we have given you only what comes from your
hand. 1 Chronicles 29:14 (NIV)
Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then
your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new
wine. Proverbs 3:9, 10
(NIV)
One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes
to poverty. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be
refreshed.Proverbs 11: 24, 25 (NIV)
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together
and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it
will be
measured to you.". Luke 6:38 (NIV)
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows
generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided
in his
heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful
giver.2 Corinthians 9:6, 7 (NIV)
…remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: `It is more blessed to give
than to receive.'" Acts 20:35b (NIV)
